I booked a Flex fare ticket via AC.com for my recent YYZ-TPE and TPE-YYZ flight operated by EVA. The booking class on the outbound was V and the inbound is M according to AC.
To my surprise, the outbound booking class was converted from V to H. As such I only earned 75% miles and SQM. Since the PNR was booked directly on AC, shouldn't I still be accumulating 100% of miles given this was a Flex fare?
I'm aware of the AE Airline Partner website and thought I only verify the booking class with * Alliance partners when booking on their website. Eg: If I was to book the same flight on EVA airline's website, then I would refer to the AE Airline Partner site to verify the miles according to booking class not when booking directly on AC.
Thanks in advance!
Nope. Many of the perks associated with ACs higher fare brands (baggage, seat selection, SQx) do not always apply when booking on partner metal. You were booked into H on EVA, so that's how you'll be credited in terms of SQM.
But on the plus side, you should have earned SQD for the flight if it was a 014 ticket.
