I need to purchase an EWR-LAS ticket today for Saturday the 22nd -- within the 72 hour gold upgrade window, right? So, if I buy a coach fare - V, for example - and there is F availability, will they upgrade me right away? or do i have to wait until the 24-hour threshold? or neither?

anyone have experience with this?
