I noticed this too, but thankfully they still respond quickly and politely when the button is pressed. I've been ignored when the button is pressed on other airlines.
One time (I was sitting on the last row of Y due to last minute booking on a full flight) the cabin crew made some passing comments (literally) behind my back in mandarin when I asked for water and took so long to deliver I had to press the bell again.
I complained about the incident and CX simply disregarded it.
