I am interested as to why this BA32 service was diverted to DXB if '4 hours out of London'. Something is not adding up here. Flying HKG-LHR on the current routing would mean 4 hours out of London being probably over Georgia or even the 'far' side of Turkey. Why would BA divert to DXB from that point (being another 2.5 hours in the wrong direction)? Surely, a divert to IST or an EU airport would make more sense than DXB? Or am I missing something here?
