I implore you to read the
Guide to Benefits. I understand it's a boring read, but when you're asking about coverage it's important to understand what this insurance will and (arguably more importantly) will not do. This is a "named peril" policy, so the hazards defined in the guide are not just examples of what things are covered, they are quite literally the
only hazards that are covered. If the reason for seeking insurance doesn't exactly match a scenario outlined in the guide it is not a covered hazard. The guide outlines a vast many exclusions to the coverage, and importantly defines all of the things for which the policy will not provide financial compensation.
Thanks for details. On page 43 under "What is the Maximum Benefit Amount?" I see $40,000 maximum per 12 month period. Doesn't that mean I am covered for 2 trips with max of $20,000 each per 12 months? Also I assume the 12 month period starts on the date after the first claim is approved and paid.. Did I miss anything?
