No it doesn't. It means that the pax from the cancelled 21APR BA12 will arrive at final destination later than frist envisaged when rebooked but it doesn't entitle them to comp. for 22APR BA12 as well. BA is def. going to resist paying comp. twice for the same PNR.
It did for me last December.
BOS to LHR day flight cancelled at 3 days notice, rebooked onto the night flight that evening which was cancelled as the flight planning system fell over.
Put separate claims in and got both, which seems fair, delayed me once, then delayed me even further again.
There may be nuances to this situation though that differentiate it.
