My wife and I are on a 777-300 DFW-LHR flight next week and currently seated in windows roughly in the middle of the J cabin. There are 5 open F seats so I'm considering using SWUs to upgrade us to F. My concern is that the more comfortable seat and (possibly) more attentive service will be offset by light and noise from the front galley during the night. My only experience in the F cabin has been on a day flight, where those issues are less important. Any advice?
I've sat in 1D JFK-LHR and didn't notice any noise or light the curtain blocked it off. However would not count on more attentive service as that is FA dependent.
