My attempt to avoid FRA sometimes fails and I ended up arriving unclean on a longhaul flight in B with a connecting flight from A this morning. I was going to take the Skyline train to A/Z and go through security and passport control there, which I thought was the “official route”. But I couldn’t see any signs for the Skyline platform, which I thought would be sign-posted for A/Z. Instead following the signs for connecting flights from A directed me to join a long queue for passport control. It was then down the short escalator, along the corridor with a frosted glass wall on the left to the public area. Security for B gates didn’t look too bad but I decided to follow the signs for A through the public area. There was no queue at all for priority security and not having to take anything out of the carry-on bag was great.
Have I missed the signs for the Skyline platform? I remember there used to be a passage to the right of passport control. Connecting passengers who can’t enter Schengen must be able to go from B to Z by Skyline train.
