I'm looking at PE from Hong Kong to Lisbon with either KLM (connection at AMS) or AF (connection at CDG). I understand both airlines offer their newest PE seats on the HK to AMS/Paris routes (KLM-787, AF-A350). So not the older fixed shell on AF. From what I can gather so far, I'm leaning towards KLM for the following reasons: 1) KLM PE food appears better than AF PE food, 2) connection at AMS seems quicker/easier than at CDG (so AMS better if transit time is short).
Fully agree on your assessment. I recently flew KL PE, BKK-AMS, first time ever KL PE, after quite some AF PE & J experience. Found the KL PE superior compared to AF (and LH, by the way). Both food and seat were great. It was a dayflight, though.
