With the usual long taxi and wait in the queue for a takeoff slot we were finally in the air 15 minutes after our scheduled departure.

The crew wasted no time and were up and working very quickly. This time around I’d ordered the Muslim special which turned out to be the standard brace of prawns and cocktail sauce, pleasant enough and a light mid morning snack. I do often end up eating like a hobbit when flying, many meals but all relatively small.

Coffee to feed the caffeine addiction, and champagne just because

I was surprised to find that there was neither Wi-Fi nor at seat power on this plane, I’ve never noticed the lack on any previous flight. Testing out the free messaging is going to have to wait.

Once service was complete a top up was offered and then the crew closed the curtain to feed the flight deck and themselves.

Another top up later and we were on our descent to Aberdeen. An enjoyable flight and a crew that were very personable with everyone and made service look effortless.

And here we are, on the ground a couple of minutes early. Time to go shopping!
