G-EUPP

G-EUPP is the same plane that I returned to Newcastle on at the end of my Baku trip, what are the odds?

Being able to see the plane from the lounge I knew we were departing from gate 3 and so I left the lounge a couple of minutes early to beat the thronging hordes and the gate opened a minute or so after I arrived. Straight through and onto the plane as is usual here at Newcastle and into the diminutive space that is seat 4a.

Due to booking this really late in the day, row 1 was completely occupied and so I find myself manspreading in order to fit

What I’d failed to consider is that because I’m travelling with just my backpack, which fits nicely under the seat, I could wait it out and be last man aboard… I may try that on the next one.

I purposefully chose a window seat on this one in the hope of a photo opportunity on the way down but looking at the low cloud cover here in Newcastle I may well be out of luck.

Everyone now boarding so it is time to kick back and enjoy this short hop down to LHR.

Next stop, London Heathrow
