I work for a large corporation and we received an email today stating that we would no longer be getting points for AA bookings, and AA is forcing everyone to book via the AA website. They said they could enroll us in a program that would allow us to get points, but all AA flights would likely be out of policy and more expensive than the alternative airlines. Booking directly from the AA site is prohibited. They also stated that signing up with the program (AAdvantage Business Program) that allows points to post but requires us to opt into getting regular spam emails from AA.

They note also stated AA informed them they will be focusing on consumer travel going forward.

I guess I will be looking for a new airline to fly (suggestions welcome). Unfortunately, I fly from PHX so Southwest is the only carrier with numerous direct flights and I am not a fan of SWA (especially since I have EXP and an Admirals Club Membership, and I hate the boarding process).
