If this is a genuine question then not sure how to answer. If we say there is nothing a GS, 1K, Gold or indeed Silver gets in reciprocity for their loyalty, then our perceptions must be so parallel that they could never be aligned.

Of course the relationship is not a balanced reciprocity, and we can debate whether the reciprocity iis commensurate with our input, but in my opinion to suggest a reciprocal relationship does not exist would be extreme (says this 1K who just checked in 3 bags weighing 28, 29 and 32.3 kg on a UA flight last week...).
