BA gave me ‘credit’ for a family flight, with no rebooking charges as I’m Gold. Tried to rebook and the BA booking chap informed me that I can’t rebook using web prices and offered me a price with a 40% premium over the web price. I explained that I was expecting it to be new price - old price and I pay any difference. He said “no” that’s not airline standard, they calculate rebooking price, take it or leave it, and I should be grateful for his time . It seems like a racket to me and I’d be grateful for your thoughts & solutions. Thank you.
