UA clearly states once a PlusPoint segment request has clear,
it is NOT cancellable, short of cancelling the flight.
With PlusPoints you have the option to request specific segments and should not request a segment you can not live with (miles upgrades are a different story).
PlusPoint upgrades on prime routes at peak times are a no go for 1Ks let alone Plats. What few upgrades there are are GS.
As a plat, I have 3 CPUs this year so far, 500+ routes except for IAD-MCO mid week
