I submitted a request successfully this morning. Did not receive any confirmation email, so will wait and see.

I currently have a vacation planned for this summer, paid 1,500 and upgraded with SWUs on AA. I could buy the same ticket in J for 3,700, so trying to determine if the 2,200 is worth it to keep the status longer. I'm based at ORD, so could definitely take advantage of the Flagship Check in and Lounge (though I will say I was not impressed with the FL food last week, and I don't really drink much anymore).

Does anyone know how long that would extend for? Based on the info below, would that extend to January 2026 (the end of the next membership year?) If so, that might be worth, since I do several international trips a year through MIA (that do not qualify for FL benefits), so would be nice to have it there as well.
