I took UA853 (SFO-TPE) last December and sat on 3A. I thought I would enjoy 3A as I had this seat on CDG-SFO and LHR-SFO flights, which are daytime flights. However, when I was sitting on 3A of UA853, I was feeling cold constantly, which I had never experienced on a United Polaris section before. When the plane approached TPE, I noticed that I forgot to close the shade, as outside it was all dark for the entire 14 hours. However, I am not sure if shade was the reason.

Does United keep the A/C strong in 772 Polaris section? I never had this kind of feeling when I was on 77W and 789 Polaris.

In a few months I am taking UA853 again. Many odd-number seats are open. Maybe my body is sensitive to cold air. I wonder if I should stay away from the window. In that case, if 9D/G better than 1D/G?
