I have rarely found the call button in F to be of any use after a couple of hours into the flight after most pax have eaten and are trying to sleep and the lights are off (and the crew is busy chatting in the galley). I now just simply walk to the back and speak with the cabin crew. Makes it so much faster and less frustrating. Its one of the quirks of flying F on the A380 especially on ULH flights.
