There are a few NRT-Itami flights too but when I checked I only saw late afternoon. If the timing works (which it doesn't appear to your case), it's, better than flying to KIX. There is a very regular limo bus from ITM to Kyoto station.
But wow, for a random day I picked in just now (May 8), I am seeing a lot of NRT-KIX tickets for $40 or less!
