Good point re: pricing. I'd say if flying a day flight then premium economy is the better choice, but for night flight at the same money I'd be taking skycouch any day of the week unless I'm going to get an upgrade.

Agreed.... For those of us flying Oz/NZ to USA or reverse however they are ALL night flights... Except during NZ's engine troubles... I ended up moved to a day flight LAX-AKL-SYD once then. My UG to J was retained... not surprisingly given how empty the flight proved to be...but it was AWFUL! Being so used to "Board-eat-watch one movie-sleep overnight" the day flight wrecked me...
