I just tried transferring some UR points and got the "please call the number on the back of your card" error message. Chase rep said that "this is a recent thing, this is the way going forward. It doesn't matter if you have previously transferred UR points to a partner, if you have a business card you need to call us to initiate a transfer."
Were you able to transfer your points?
This happened to me last year. I called up Chase and VS, but neither was able to help me. I ended up transferring points over from C1 foregoing the transfer bonus I would have gotten had I been able to transfer my Chase UR points over to VS.
