You are correct Adam. You have every right to question the legitimacy of my story. However, the restaurant was 50% occupancy at the time of the incident. I believe you would do the same for your significant other if she was struggling under the hot sun after a round of painful knee injections just days prior.
No, my husband would be mortified in this situation and would be begging me, through clenched teeth, to just let it go. (Especially if I ever mentioned status or how many nights I stayed at Marriotts.) (He perhaps would also suggest not going on vacation if he had knee injections that made it so painful that days later he required me to be his white knight.)
I'm sorry you seem to be taking this personally. I am not questioning the basic facts of course, but of course there are various ways of speaking to people- some nicer than others. I'm sure you have been in situations, Jackey, where you've recognized you could handle things by escalating or by de-escalating.
Again, I am not sure what you want - and don't see how complaining more vociferously to bloggers or otherwise will achieve anything. You got an apology and points. You are entitled to have the moral upper hand. What else do you want?
More points? Then ask for them without the extraneous details and complaints about how genuine or disingenuine the apology was. You're not going to get the head of the server on a platter. You're not going to get a cash refund.
If you're just here to complain about what happened at the hotel, that's totally valid. You should realize that if a blogger runs your story though, people will be much meaner in the comments than anything that has been said here.
You asked for advice as to what you can/should do. At some point, you can accept what's been offered and move on. If you want to spend weeks seeking vengeance, that's an option but will likely not be ultimately satisfying.
