You can, but you don't have to as you can book the flights on ba.com, albeit you miss out on the first few days of availability and, from my experience, lose some flexibility around longer connection times if you want to do a short stop-over in Doha.

Yes. You can do an open jaw (back from a different airport), so long as it falls within the rules, which that would easily.
You would have to call at least to book the return, or for a 50% rebate on the Avios for the return flight if separately booked online, as you can't book an open jaw round trip wholly online. But if you are booking the flights as they are released you'd have to do that anyway.
