I have never had this issue on the A380. I wonder if the old CW seats mean a more laissez-faire approach to it as well

53k facing the engines on a day flight is a nice view in between raiders of the lost ark and Jurassic park.

Hopefully get the same on my LHR-BOS in the autumn. Will probably be my last time on a BA plane facing backwards with the reconfiguration coming.
