Not quite... in Y BA usually overrides the electronic window blinds on the 787's to 'shade' the cabin. In JL 'blinds down' is mandatory, as it is on QR. In Y on the overnights, they keep the full lights on until after the meal service and then turn them back on 2 hours before landing to distribute 'breakfast' - on a nighttime flight, darkness is good.
