For those that have stayed in the pool villas, does the east facing nature of the property mean that you lose the afternoon sun reasonably early?

Also the marketing suggests beach shoes for the swimming due to the rocks, but comments above almost suggest not to bother. Is it really that bad, particularly for 8-11 year old kids?
