Yeah, like everyone else, I find it hard to actually burn my Frontier miles because the flights are generally so cheap to simply purchase. The only time I've used their miles is on connecting transcons -- which sometimes aren't so cheap, especially in summer -- but that a whole world of potential hurt with constantly changing flight schedules and the very real possibilty of missed connections with very bad outcomes. Really not worth it unless you're looking at a several-hundred-dollar fare on a major carrier. I hope to use them to the Caribbean or Latin America next winter, but Frontier's schedules there are not robust (except, I guess to Puerto Rico, where the fares are cheap anyway) so I don't know. I have flown Frontier to Cancun (where they do have several flights) but my fare before taxes was only about 50 bucks each way, so I doubt that would be a great redemption.
