Using dirty gloves to repeatedly root through clothes and toiletries, arbitrarily demanding that passengers remove shoes, comments by screeners that "You don't have First Amendment rights here" and "Take a bus instead" do not engender good relations between passengers and screeners. I have experienced all of these first hand. That type of behavior by TSA screeners is a large part of the reason why many of us have such reactions to TSA, especially combined with the lack of security in other areas, i.e. our borders, ports, unscreened cargo on passenger planes.
