GHA_Insider , as a GHA Titanium member who recently decided to explore GHA hotels (after getting bored with Marriott & Hilton), I'm so disappointed with how some of the hotels treat their members. I was liaising with a Parkroyal Hotel on the Best Rate Guarantee (BRG), and let me share what I encountered.
1. The GHA officer can't even make the simple multiplication right, and when I pointed that out, the officer went radio silence and I had to call to follow up on the BRG request.
2. Another officer stepped in and checked the OTA price using his own personal account, before informing me that price is not a valid reference. Of course I know that. Everybody knows one should check the publicly available OTA rate without logging in, when addressing BRG request. This is such a bad experience - please train your staff well
3. The same officer in point 2 above encouraged me (a GHA Titanium member) to book via OTA - after GHA's efforts all these years in encouraging direct booking (to avoid huge profit leakage to OTA), look at what your untrained employee just did
