The mixture of Avios and cash you choose for a redemption doesn't make any difference to the refundability of the booking. It's refundable until 24 hours before departure, subject to a £35 p/p service charge (believe this is charged as $50 for US-domiciled accounts). You'll see this mentioned on the summary page when you book.
