I had SSSS from LHR-JFK a couple of weeks ago via AA from T3.

Absolutely nothing to be worried about, I got to the gate, they sent me to a table in the gate where a couple of other people were, they made me open my bag and turn my laptop on, they swabbed everything, and that was that. Added about 3 minutes.
