1) Forego "true black" in favour of heathery colours (e.g. charcoal grey), which already look like they're covered in lint so a little more doesn't hurt.
2) Travel with a black pashmina, which I wear as an intermediate layer between my clothes and the linty objects on the plane.
The linty napkin problem also reminds me of a question: Why don't those restaurants that are chock-full of trendy types all dressed in black offer up black napkins? They would look quite chic, and wouldn't ruin the diners' outfits.
