I recently flew a couple ITA marketed and operated flights, and I don’t have a Volare account. In the reservation details, I added my Virgin Atlantic and my Flying Club number in the frequent flyer program details. It’s been about a month since I completed the trip and I have not gotten my points credited yet.

Is it even possible to earn Flying Club points when flying ITA metal with an ITA 055 ticket number? The Virgin website appears to say that this is possible. Has anyone here had any luck? I’m hoping to better understand the procedure.

The ITA customer service has not been very helpful. They directed me to contact Virgin, and Virgin referred me back to ITA. Does anyone know the procedure to get the points credited? The VS agent I spoke to said that I needed the VS booking reference number from ITA in order to process the points. Does such a booking reference even exist if I flew on an ITA marketed and operated flight?
