We checked in and out of the HR HKT within an hour. I considered the Andaz at Pattaya but the destination greatly concerns me.
Cape Fahn is stunning, but is no longer bookable via Hyatt as SLH have left. Curiously they are also part of Mr and Mrs Smith so will see if they come online.
As I said, I had low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. I would consider the Pool Villa but the pricing is at lux level so can't justify it.
not to go too off topic but ...Not sure what your concern w Andaz Pattaya is by location. If it's 1) because there's absolutely nothing nearby, then you are totally right. It's a long trek to get anywhere so you might be captive on property 2) if it's because of Pattaya itself, don't worry. 30 minute drive from the nightlife.
Andaz is a beautiful property. But if you go over to the Andaz thread you'll see my lights didn't turn off/ or turned on at night and then couldn't turn off 4 of the first 9 nights I was there over 2 trips. I had massive hardware issues but hotel made it up to me.
service is good. Once they figure out the light issues (many rooms esp suites have this problem I've been told), it'll be a fantastic property. It's a jewel and one of the few luxury resorts in places I want to go.
But if HR Samui good, I'll try that sometimes. I've only stayed at luxury collection vana belle on Samui but have switched to Hyatt when possible
