Also, how does GoGo equipped aircraft work over the Pacific without a satellite? I know ViaSat bought Immarsat which does have satellites with global coverage, but it's not clear if these could or are being used.
FYI, there are two "Gogo" deployments, the original terrestrial air-to-ground version which only offers coverage over/near land, and a satellite based system that works over oceans. Intelsat acquired Gogo in December, 2020.
