The next guaranteed flight that Emirates could get us out on was one week away. All other flights with them out of Bali were overbooked until then.
I didn't even think it was an option to have Emirates book me onto a CX flight.
Luckily I booked CX there and then, as all HKG->LON flights this weekend are fully booked.
