We stayed here in late March. Rate was reasonable Thursday, on the high side Friday, and so crazy high on Saturday (Liverpool match) that we only booked for two nights and caught a 2000 train out of town.

The location was great as we were coming and going via the train at Lime St. Station (on Friday we took in a Championship match at Preston). The staff was very friendly and the front desk agent took time to mark up a tourist map with all sorts of stuff for us, and proactively offered us 2pm checkout.

We had booked a family room with two doubles. Having stayed at the Delta Bristol last year and the Sheraton Skyline the night before in two-doubles rooms, we had an idea of what to expect. We had a corner room on a higher floor, and other than the electrical outlets and shower being different, we could have easily been in Iowa City. That's not a bad thing, on these stays we are looking to each have our own full size bed and be walking distance to stuff. There was a refrigerator, the TV had a good set of channels but was missing any premium sports stations, and the bathroom was functional.

We did not eat there, but we did use our two complementary beverages at the bar for me still being Gold. The cherry lambic was dangerously good.

When it was time to leave, it was convenient to get an Uber to the hotel and collect our stuff and stroll over the two blocks to the station with time to pick up snacks and drinks at M&S Food before our train arrived.

All in all, if I was to return to Liverpool, I would probably stay here again.
