Well I'm leaving this weekend, so I've been paying close attention. Tons of ORD flights have had seats opened up in the T-3 to T-7 range. I have not seen a single seat open up on the JFK leg this week. I have not seen anything released on the new config daytime flight close in, and in fact it went from having a number of open seats to fully booked out in the T-3 day range.
If you really want last minute F, it's almost certainly going to be ORD.
