I agree with Nivsy.. it's amazing that airport transport facilities close at midnight when there are scheduled flights arriving later... it's not as if QF 72 is a recent schedule addition! I'll be HBO so hopefully will be able to get through quickly.
The last time i did this sector, the AVIS office was open till 2am. It's located in a little hut outside the international arrivals of T4 beside the rental car park.
