I agree with this. We're going back in February for our nephew's bday, the two 3-year olds will have fun at the pools. Food on premises is pretty bad but there's a small market and quite a few restaurants in Escondido. When our boys are a little older and can do the activities offered at Carmel Valley Ranch we'll go there instead since it's really, really nice but for now this is a good trip to get out of the PNW rainy winters. I didn't golf this time but I will next time, course wasn't in great shape but playable. We had really bad weather but the pools are nice, two have really good setups for kids. I think it's a pretty decent use of free night certs. Go with expectations in check and I think you'll like it.
