During OLCI - had seat 18H and my girlfriend had a seat at the back of the second “eco” cabine.
Called the Platinum Line and asked to have 2x seats close together. The only possibility was to go in the second cabin close to the toilet.
ENJOY YOUR PLATINUM BENEFIT
There are plenty seats available in EC, but not open for my girlfriend. Explorers will enjoy the seat in EC and the Platinum customer will enjoy the seats close to the toilets in the second cabin.
Economy Comfort is free for plat but if there are seats in EC available you should be able to purchase a seat for your partner so she can sit next to you. Your platinum benefit is one free EC seat but not 2 as you appear to have hoped...
