WN is the biggest player at MCI so maybe more elite-heavy than some. I use WN for business travel because they cover all of my nonstops. I love upgrades and lounges but not as much as I hate unnecessary connections.

Also our experience unless it's a really lightly loaded flight. A-list is mid/high-A. A regular 24h checkin is definitely B, usually mid-B.

Mid-B is nothing to freak out about but it's definitely a change from 5+ years ago. If I had to guess it's both more A-listers and more people buying EBCI. So many credit cards out there reimburse a couple hundred bucks a year of airline incidentals, it makes EBCI feel "free" to some people.
