Just flew back from Kona a couple of days ago in the old IPTE seats. Far far more comfortable than Polaris. Was able to sleep until woke up for breakfast
I agree completely. For tall pax, the IPTE was the best seat UA's ever had. I don't mind being in close proximity to other pax and wasn't disturbed when someone had to climb over me. We will only fly to HI on routings with the IPTE. The food's consistently terrible but I only care about the seat.

The new Polaris seats are knee and shin knockers and, unless you get a bulkhead seat, you'll have to sleep on your side if you are tall.
