That is a good solution. As stated above if your SEA-IST flight had a schedule change of 15min or more, you would be entitled to (invol) rebook this free of charge - provided that you didn't accept the retimed flight already; hence, you should never accept a retimed TK flight unless you are sure that you will travel.
