I am 1k and will be traveling with 2 children. I have never traveled this route. I see there are 2 flights from Chicago (NRT and HND), one from Houston and one from Denver. I am planing to travel on a Wednesday and return on a Saturday. Unfortunately premium plus prices are ridiculous for my dates. I read above that Houston may be my best bet. Does that hold true for August? Any realistic chance of getting upgraded? I would really appreciate any guidance / strategies on how to increase my chances of upgrading with points. Thank you!
