What's super nice about the Cayman airport is that the car rental agencies are just a walk across the road, no shuttling, etc.

If you are torn between renting a car or not, the Seafire has a Hertz car rental desk right onsite and you can rent a car for just a few days. That was the easiest rental car experience I've ever had, with them having my keys and paperwork ready effortlessly and the car already out at valet.

It always seems when I rent a car, I tend not to use it and when I don't rent a car, I want to use one. I think our last couple visits I've been happy not to have one and just enjoy everything onsite. Perhaps I don't know the Caymans well enough and this might be an unpopular opinion, but I don't find Grand Cayman to really have a ton to do or have many cultural offerings. The reason we visit is truly the Seafire resort.
