The even very slightly pedantic amongst the native English speakers here will know that deception relies on there having been intent to mislead. And that an unintended mistake or an error of translation are not intent.

Be pissed off about it, of course. I've been offloaded at DOH mid-journey under similar circumstances before and it's a pain.

But that does not mean that various well meaning but inaccurate things said by partially or fully uninformed staff along the way are intentional deception.

I'm glad the OP got home almost as scheduled, good for them. Particularly under the difficult circumstances yesterday. And if what they have retold is accurrate there may well be potential service improvement opportunities here.
