The Torri Gate hike, did that during the day, also visited during the evening the night prior which had very few visitors and the Torri Gates area was more appealing in the darkness with the lighting. This was maybe 10 yrs ago. Planning a return visit for next year during Expo in Osaka, looking forward to trying out the Hilton options around Osaka and Kyoto.
