What are these tools that ensure parents don't get split up from their children?
UA will provide, at no extra cost, that children under 12 will be seated next to a parent or be able to move to a flight for free where they can be seated together
-- it does not guarantee the entire family group will be seated together for BE tickets.
-- It does not guarantee it will be done on your purchased flight, as the offer may be an alternative flight
-- it does not apply to children older than 12
-- UA will not force another customer to change seats to make this happen.
