I stayed at the Vanderbilt Marriott a few weeks ago. It was as basic as a Marriott gets, but was a few hundred dollars cheaper than options like JW Marriott, W, Westin. It is around a 5 minute Uber to the Downtown/Broadway area. My room had a cool view of the Vanderbilt football stadium. The lounge was open in the morning and served basic breakfast food/coffee. Perfectly serviceable option if someone needs to be in Vanderbilt and doesn't want to pay the prices right downtown.
